Lazarus Island Yacht Day Trip: The Complete Charter Itinerary

Curious about yacht ownership, upgrades, or the Singapore yacht market? The best way to explore your options is from the deck of a yacht itself.

Why Lazarus Island Is Our Most Requested Destination

Lazarus Island sits less than 5 kilometres south of Sentosa, yet it feels worlds apart. There are no hotels, restaurants, or commercial developments. Just a clean crescent beach, clear water, and the kind of quiet that is hard to find anywhere else in Singapore. For yacht charters, it is the ideal anchoring spot because the bay is naturally sheltered and the seabed provides good holding.

More than half of all Avelis charters include a Lazarus Island stop. It works for every type of group: birthday celebrations, couples, corporate outings, family days, and friend groups looking for a low-effort day out.

The Ideal 4-Hour Lazarus Itinerary

Departure (0:00)

Board at Marina @ Keppel Bay. Your captain will run through a safety briefing while the crew prepares the deck. Music goes on, drinks are set out, and you are underway within minutes of boarding.

Cruising (0:00 to 0:30)

The cruise from Keppel Bay to Lazarus takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes. You will pass Sentosa’s southern shoreline and the container port before the city skyline recedes and the Southern Islands come into view. This is prime photo territory.

Anchoring and Water Time (0:30 to 2:30)

Once anchored at Lazarus, the swim platform drops and the back deck becomes your base. Guests swim, snorkel, or take the kayak to shore. If you have booked jet skis, the crew will set them up here. This is also when catering is served if you have arranged a BBQ or platter package.

Return Cruise and Sunset (2:30 to 4:00)

The return journey is timed so afternoon charters catch the sunset on the way back. The golden hour view of Singapore’s skyline from the water is one of the highlights guests talk about most.

Full-Day Option (8 Hours)

An 8-hour charter gives you the luxury of time. Arrive at Lazarus in the morning when the beach is empty, swim and explore at a relaxed pace, have a full catered lunch onboard, then cruise to a second island (Sisters’ Islands or Kusu) before heading back for sunset. This format removes any sense of rushing.

Which Vessel to Choose

For groups of up to 10 guests, the Riviera 39 offers an intimate setup with a flybridge for sun lounging. Groups of 12 to 18 are well suited to the Megaway 45 or Clipper Heritage 40, both of which have spacious decks and comfortable saloons. For larger parties of up to 28, the Leopard 51 catamaran provides the most deck space, stability (ideal for guests who get seasick), and freshwater showers for rinsing off after swimming.

What to Bring

Sunscreen (reef-safe preferred), a change of clothes, a towel (though we provide these on request), and your phone for photos. Everything else, from ice and cups to music and the crew, is handled by us. If you are arranging your own food, bring it in cooler bags and we will set it up onboard.

Booking Tips

Weekday mornings offer the quietest conditions at Lazarus. Weekend afternoons are popular for sunset-focused charters. During peak periods (December, Chinese New Year, F1 Grand Prix), we recommend booking at least two to three weeks in advance.
